In his new book My Life Outside the Ring, wrestling legend Hulk Hogan reveals his ‘Gladiators’ co-star Laila Ali saved him from suicide.

Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, says he hit rock bottom after his wife of 23 years, Linda Bollea, filed for divorce.

Hogan admits the divorce combined with his son Nick’s car accident that landed him in jail was too much to deal with, so he drank a bottle of rum and took several Xanas pills.

Just when he reached for a gun, Ali called concerned because he seemed distracted at work. Hogan says the surprise called saved his life.

My Life Outside the Ring is set to hit stores on October 27.
