Rampage Jackson has promised fans there will be fireworks when he steps into the Octagon against Forrest Griffin at UFC 86 next month.
The light heavyweight champion puts his belt on the line in a mouth watering main event at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on July 5.
And the titleholder is promising fans he will give Ultimate Fighter 1 winner Griffin the beating of his life.
Jackson said: “I think fans can expect to see an ass whoopin’ in this fight.
“If the fans want to see a good old-fashioned ass whoopin’ – if you just want to see somebody get their ass whopped - tune in to this fight.
“You’ll see exactly what you want to see – you’ll see somebody get their ass whopped! For real!
“I might as well take my belt off and whoop Forrest’s ass!”
The two superstars collide after spending the last few months as opposing coaches on season seven of the Ultimate Fighter reality TV show.
Jackson, 29, and Griffin, 28, each trained a team of wannabe mixed martial arts hopefuls all vying for a chance to earn a contract in the UFC.
And Jackson revealed his desire to beat up Griffin stems from the lessons he learnt on the reality show.
He added: “The reason why I want to whoop Forrest’s ass so bad is to show my team how it’s done. It’s nothing personal, it’s not that I don’t like the guy.
“I think I have a bigger chin than Forrest, I don’t think he can bust a grape from talking to some of my friends who have fought him.
“A lot of my friends say I hit a lot harder in sparring than Forrest does in a fight and I tend to see that when I watch him.
“He’s a tough guy but I think I’m tougher, I’m meaner and I’m uglier. He’s got a big heart but my heart is bigger. He’s going down man. July 5th – there’s going to be more fireworks than July 4th I’m telling you.
"He’s going down. Forrest’s going down, I’m going to drag him through the woods. He’s never fought anyone like me before. He’s never fought anyone meaner, uglier or stronger than me – he’s going to have a real hard time.
“But I’ve fought people like Forrest before – a tough guy, but he has no chin, no punching power. He’s a tall guy and good on the ground. I’ve fought guys like that, but he’s never fought anyone like me.”
