KocoSports.com can exclusively reveal that professional wrestler Jerry Sags will be the subject of a new realty TV show entitled “Lesson in Respect”.
The show will be produced by Greenlight Entertainment and will follow Sags preparation to face Mixed Martial Artist, Jason Pharo.
The fight arose between Pharo & Sags earlier this month when Sags read Pharo’s inflammatory comments against the wrestling community.
“I respect MMA” said Sags, who is best known as one half of “The Nasty Boys” with partner Brian Knobbs “I don’t get where this guy gets off disrespecting our business, I have friends who have died doing what we do, families missing husbands, fathers & brothers and this guy is going to disrespect them, who they were and how they earned their living, well that pisses me off and I’m ready to rip this guys face off.”
“I gladly accept the challenge” Sags continued, “in fact I’d never really heard of this Pharo guy until I read the story about him on KocoSports.com”

Los Angeles, Calif., March 5, 2008 — Greenlight Entertainment Partners, LLC, in partnership with Spectacle Entertainment, LLC has announced its intention to develop and shop around a twelve-part reality series, Lesson In Respect , based on the upcoming fight challenge between professional wrestler Jerry Sags and mixed martial artist (MMA) Jason Pharo.
Lesson In Respect, created and developed by Fred Jung, President and CEO of Greenlight Entertainment Partners, LLC, spawned earlier this month when Pharo’s inflammatory comments against the wrestling community and an open-call challenge to any wrestler to meet him in the ring was countered by Sags, eminently known as one half of the celebrated wrestling tag team, The Nasty Boys. “I accept this challenge for honor,” said Sags. “It’s my duty as a professional to defend the honor and the spirit of one of the oldest sports of battle, and the integrity of all those who have stood in the ring, fundamental concepts Pharo clearly cannot comprehend.”
Jung commented, “Competitive fighting, in any form, has always been a great spectator sport. Sags’ determination to defend the honor of the sport of wrestling is poignant, and people will tune in to see the exhilarating lead-up of these two professional fighters, each from very different, but respected disciplines.”
