American Combat Wrestling “Night Of Champions” Results (4/10)

Tuesday April 10, 2007 saw the return of American Combat Wrestling to Bourbon Street Night Club 4331 US19N in New Port Richey, FL. The event was called Night of Champions as all the titles in ACW were on the line. Sean “X-Pac” Waltman, Erick Stevens, Roderick Strong and Mike Sullivan were in the crowd enjoying the show.

Sideshow of Dogmatika came out to the ring to speak to the fans and specifically the ACW double champion Ralph Mosca. Sideshow said he had respect for Mosca but didn’t care for what happened to former champion Eddie Taurus and wasn’t scared of what could happen tonight. Mosca hit the ring and said Sideshow and Twizted Vengeance were the same in his eyes, just another victim. Sideshow felt otherwise even as Mosca said if he talked about him in a derogatory way he would kick Sideshow’s ass.

(1) Shan Hill of the Syndicate defeated Nick Fame.
Fame was rather reluctant to lock up with the powerhouse Hill and when he did lock up it was Hill’s power that controlled the match for several minutes. While Fame was in a hammerlock it looked like he moved his butt into Hill’s package, which caused Hill to get upset. Fame ran to referee Billy Dalton for protection but his head ended up in a rather interesting place. Hill chased Fame around the ringside area and when the action came back to the ring Fame was waiting with a boot to the chest. This advantage lasted short as Hill went back to work but it went back to Fame as he avoided a corner move and Hill’s shoulder hit the ringpost. Fame went right to work on the injured shoulder despite the fans chanting “Fame Is Gay.” Fame scored a two count after hitting an armbreaker and locking in a short arm scissor. Hill fought back with punches from his good arm but got cut down by an enziguri only to hit Fame with a ring shaking spinebuster. Hill used hit good arm to hit Fame with several clotheslines but didn’t get the pin even after a German suplex. Hill ended up getting the win via a brainbuster. A mystery man came from the crowd and distracted Hill long enough for Moose Madison to come from behind and attack Hill. Madison introduced the mystery man as his bodyguard and distant cousin Big Bubba Madison.

(2) Shayne Swift and Cousin Dale (w/Momma) defeated “Fabulous” Phil and “Sensational” Scott Davis (w/“Superstar” Sean Davis).
Sean Davis said he didn’t have doctor approval to compete tonight so instead the other half of the Express would be partnering with his twin brother Scott. Swift began for his team and was quicker then either Davis so of course they claimed he was greased up and using illegal tactics. Dale tagged in and began a power style match with the Davis boys. Actually some shots to the package occurred as well a meeting of the heads courtesy of Dale. All this did was infuriate the Davis’ and make Sean’s face a nice shade of umber. Swift tagged in and went to work on Phil’s arm and tagged Dale back in to continue the attack. That attack ended when Phil raked Swift’s eyes and dragged him to the Davis corner where he remained for what seemed like an hour. Somehow the youngster kicked out of every pin and refused to tap out. Finally Swift was able to crawl to his corner and tag in Dale who cleared the ring with bodyslams and clotheslines. Dale actually used Swift as a weapon throwing him off the top rope into Phil and Dale won with a splash. After the match Scott Davis took the house mic and said the next time the Davis’ came back to town the ACW fans better show some respect.

(3) Dim Bala defeated former ACW Heavyweight champion “Raging Bull” Eddie Taurus.
This was Taurus’ first appearance since losing the ACW title in controversial fashion and he had his hands full with the monster from the Bayou swamps. Bala was close to a DQ with hand chops to Taurus’ throat and eye gouges. The violence only escalated as Taurus fought back from these shots with some of his own. However Bala locked in a nerve hold to the neck of Taurus but the former champ fought to his feet, only to run into Bala’s knee. Bala took the match to the floor and used anything not nailed down to beat on Taurus. Finally the match came back to the ring where Bala was leveled by a leg lariat and several right hand punches but his corner move was reversed and Bala hit a clothesline. Bala went to grab his trusty sickle but Dalton grabbed it and took it to the corner. Taurus hit a clothesline of his own but Mosca argued with him and Bala distracted the referee. Mosca leveled Taurus with a cooking utensil of some kind and Bala scored the pinfall. After the bell Mosca and Bala had words in the ring, at least Mosca spoke to Bala. Mosca thanked Bala for setting his mind straight after their barb wire match weeks ago. Bala seemed confused and headed to the locker room.

(4) Ray Beez defeated the debuting Benny Blanco.
To Blanco’s surprise the fans were behind the homeless Beez. Blanco channeled his anger into a standing hand flip into a splash and then he tossed Beez to the floor. Blanco hit a suplex on the floor which seemed to shut the fans up briefly. Somehow Beez got back to his feet and fought back with punches. When the action came back to the ring Beez hit a running boot to the jaw but Blanco fought back with a slam, several elbow drops and a suplex for two. Beez fought back with a back suplex of his own and both men had to race to beat the ten count. Beez avoided a corner move and sent Blanco into the corner chest first and Blanco’s momentum resulted in a German suplex. However Beez couldn’t follow with a pin as Blanco hit a Samoan drop for two. Blanco went up top but Beez met him and got sent back into the ring. But Beez got back to his feet and knocked Blanco back into the ring where Beez won with a straight jacket neckbreaker.

(5) Jaison Moore became ACW Cruiserweight champion when he defeated Austin Amadeus.
These two have wrestled each other in the last several months so it would take a huge tactical error to see a winner. Moore got on the attack with a Thesz press and some right hands to the jaw. Moore made an error as he raised his boot for a kick but Amadeus caught it and kicked Moore right in the hamstring. Amadeus quickly went for a leg submission but Moore fought to his feet hitting a blockbuster for two. Amadeus countered out of slam and kicked Moore in the injured leg. Amadeus hit a Dragon Screw and got two and got locked Moore in a figure four. Moore fought off the pain to reverse the hold but Amadeus got to the ropes. Amadeus placed Moore on the top turnbuckle and went up but his move was blocked and Moore came off dropping both boots on Amadeus’ back. After several counters Moore hit an STO and locked in a crossface which made Amadeus tap out.

(6) ACW Tag Team Champions “Canadian Dream” Joshua Masters and Sedrick Strong (w/ Fetish) defeated Nooie Lee and Dany Only of Dogmatika.
With Sideshow wrestling in the main event Only decided to get some revenge on the champions who had done some severe damage in TLC matches. So he recruited the former ACW Cruiserweight champion to attempt and take the gold home. After some jawboxing Only and Strong laid into each other with chest chops and punches. With nothing resolved Masters and Lee tagged in and Lee got control with his speed and a head scissor. But a monkey flip out of the corner was blocked by Masters and he leveled Lee with a clothesline. Strong and Masters isolated Lee for several minutes and used legal and illegal double teams to dominate the match. Some help from Fetish and her flogger also aided the champs but none of this resulted in a victory. With the fans cheering him on, Lee escaped the champs corner and tagged in a well rested and angry Only. But Only’s top rope trip went south when Lee was dumped over the ropes and his momentum cause Only to fall. This allowed Strong and Masters to hit a double team choke slam like move to retain the titles. After the match Only and Lee exchanged some heated words and had to be separated by Sideshow. Only vented his frustration on Sideshow who he felt was too focused on singles gold. Sideshow said he was only to stop ACW from becoming the Ralph Mosca Show.

(7) Moose Madison (formerly “Modern Revolution” Steve Madison) defeated “The G.O.A.T.” Dave Mercury.
This match was made a few weeks ago and it took that long for ACW to get them back in to ACW to hold it. Madison came out with the man who laid out Shan Hill earlier in the evening Big Bubba Madison. Early on Madison spent more time out on the floor than in the ring as any time Mercury got control, Madison bailed out. Madison also complained of hair pulls and tight pulls as Mercury kept taking Madison down to the mat with a side headlock. Madison and Mercury ended up going to the floor after Mercury hit a bodyblock into the ropes. When the action came back to the ring Madison locked Mercury in a front facelock. But when Mercury got to his feet he ran right into a shoulder tackle and Madison dumped him to the floor where Big Bubba got in some punches to the jaw and forearms to the back. Mercury was tossed back in the ring where he got a sunset flip pin for two but Madison was faster and hit a punch to the jaw. Madison locked Mercury in a chinlock with a camel clutch like bridge of the back but let the hold go when he didn’t get a submission. Madison dumped Mercury to the floor again but this time it was Mercury who sent Big Bubba into the corner post. Madison was in trouble as Mercury got his second wind but it was cut short as Madison locked with the referee and Big Bubba slid in decking Mercury to the mat. This allowed Madison to get the easy pin.

(8) In a NO DQ match, ACW Combat and Heavyweight Champion “Rugged” Ralph Mosca of the Syndicate defeated 2007 JPC competitor Sideshow of Dogmatika.
Mosca didn’t wait for Sideshow’s introduction as he jumped the only quad slam champion in ACW history. Nothing was left sitting around as both men used garbage cans, lids, chairs, beer bottles and even the bar as weapons. Mosca split open Sideshow’s head with a garbage can lid shot and Sideshow repaid Mosca with a running boot to the jaw followed by a roasting pan shot to the head. Mosca was split open as sideshow drove his head into a folding chair bulldog headlock style. Mosca escaped ten punches in a corner by press slamming Sideshow to the canvas. Dany Only came out to cheer on his partner as the champ hit several forearm shots to the chest of the challenger. Only’s cheering with the fans seemed to work as Sideshow hit an Otani kick to the corner but his top rope move was stopped as Mosca shoved the referee into the ropes, causing Sideshow to fall on his package. Just as Mosca hit a sitout powerbomb Eddie Taurus hit the ring and then Mosca with a top rope headbutt. Sideshow got two as Only slid in with a chair asking Sideshow to hold Mosca. But when Only followed through he decked Sideshow. This allowed Mosca to hit a Burning Hammer to retain his titles.
