Ring of Honor regular Colt Cabana signs 'developmental deal' with WWE

According to Mike Johnson of www.PWInsider.com, ROH star Colt Cabana has signed a developmental deal with WWE. He is expected to be assigned to Ohio Valley Wrestling. Cabana was also backstage at WrestleMania 23. In addition, he has also done some enhancement work for WWE in the past. Cabana has been with ROH since 2002.

Most recently, Cabana appeared on MTV's Wrestling Society X, under the masked persona "Matt Classic." Originally, the WSX stipulation was that all wrestlers were to remain under contract up until ninety days after the last WSX episode aired on MTV. Mike Johnson adds that this signing by WWE indicates that WSX may have released talents from their contracts. This is yet to be confirmed, however.
